Stop Human Trafficking Run/Walk for Life

June 8 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Race: Stop Human Trafficking Run/Walk for Life

Distance: 5 K

Date: 06/08/2019

Time: 09:00 am

Location: Linn, MO

Race Description
No one wants to believe that human trafficking (modern day slavery) is thriving today, yet Polaris, a national organization fighting trafficking, states “human traffickers generate hundreds of billions of dollars in profits by trapping millions of people in horrific situations around the world, including here in the U.S”. Estimates are there are 20.9 million people worldwide trapped in the bondage of labor. No place (rural, suburban, or urban) is safe from the clutches of traffickers pursuing a lucrative existence from selling people like merchandise.
Each of us can make a difference by supporting organizations that educate others about human trafficking, rescue those in bondage, and protect the at-risk. Based out of Columbia, Missouri, Rescue Innocence teaches at conferences, camps, retreats, churches, youth organizations, schools and more about human trafficking. Rescue Innocence also speaks out for the victims and helps survivors heal and thrive. All proceeds of this 5K will be used to support Rescue Innocence. Join us in running or walking in this community event to end this heinous crime.
