Race Description
Unlike any other running event, the Heart of Missouri Girls on the Run 5k is a celebration of and for the girls who are completing a Girls on the Run season. Participants will experience the unbridled enthusiasm of girls in grades 3-5 and 6-8 who have spent 10 weeks working on self-discovery, community service, and appreciation for others. Our 5K is a non-competitive event that will put a smile on your face! Your participation will bring you a sense of joy and appreciation for the hard work the girls have put into becoming the best versions of themselves. It also benefits our scholarship program, and through participation, you’re providing opportunities for all girls to be their best through participation in Girls on the Run!
Community runners may arrive anytime after 9 am. You will start the race at 10 am, giving you a 5 minute head start over the rest of the group which will start at about 10:05 am. As a community runner, you will receive a t-shirt and race bag, and access to pre-race activities. If you do not wish to participate in the pre-race activities, please plan to arrive for check-in to the race by 9:45 am.
